On Lil Kim's Portrayal In Notorious B.I.G. Movie (5904 hits)

As the hip-hop nation prepares for the forthcoming biopic, Notorious, which details the life of slain rapper, Notorious B.I.G., Lil Kim is already fuming about her portrayal in the movie as the constant concubine in Biggie’s life, while he was married to Faith Evans.

I’ve had enough and I’m about to expose them both… I’ve been quiet for a long time,” Lil Kim told Hip-hop Weekly, also referring to Biggie’s mother, Violetta Wallace . Lil Kim argues that the movie sensationalizes her relationship with Biggie.

Umm. OK. It’s interesting that Lil Kim is playing it all humble and everything as if she didn’t know that Faith was Biggie’s wife. I haven’t seen the movie yet, but this little titillating bit makes me want to see it even more.

Do you think Lil Kim’s statement is a publicity stunt to draw attention to herself and revive her career? Or are her concerns legitimate? And lastly, do you think that she should let bygones be bygones?

Lil' Kim's response to the movie is probably nothing more than a publicity stunt. That being said, she and Biggie Smalls are the only ones privy to the true nature of their relationship. I just hope the portrayal of Biggie's cheating ways doesn't cause further damage to black male-female relationships in crisis. We must not forget that over 70% of our children are growing up in single-parent households.

As an educated, black professional, I am growing tired of movies like this. Most of these rappers and hip-hop artists aren't doing much to improve the thoughts, feelings and behaviors of our children and youths. They are doing what they do because of the almighty dollar. In other words, they are being played by the same system that mistreated and marginalized our black ancestors.

Hey everyone! I went and saw the movie and actuallt learned alot about B.I.G. As foe Lil Kim, the way the movie portrayed her and B.I.G.'s character did make it seem as if they were in some type of relationship, after all they were having s*x. I feel that he did do her wrong, but she did gain a successful career out of the whole situation. I feel that she does need to let bygones be bygones, it's over, it's been over. I mean when he married Faith while he was still dating her, that alone should have opened her eyes. Anyhow, she does need to grow up and get on with her life, her stunts are just sad!

I never really was a lil kim fan.I did love B.I.G. though. I dont think everybody should be down on Lil. Kim. Whether they were togethern or not.He was a friend of hers. She is entitled to get upset if they are potraying her in a arong way. Why couldnt she be just grieving him,why does it have to be about money.Like someone said early on. Dont nob0dy know the truth ,but kim and Big. She was in loove with him,I think thats why she acting like that.She still dealing with alot of hurt.Havent seen the movie yet. Now I really wantto see it,hearing all of these comments.We got to stop ragging on each other. Its always more than one side to a story.
