LIAACC's VP Sharon Davis honored at NCCC Annual Small Businessperson Legislative Breakfast (6915 hits)

WOODBURY, N.Y. -- Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc.'s VP Sharon Davis honored at Nassau Council Chambers of Commerce at Annual Small Businessperson of the Year and Legislative Breakfast

On October 17, 2014 the Nassau Council of Chambers of Commerce, Inc. 30th Annual Small Businessperson of the Year and Legislative Breakfast was held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury, New York. Sharon Davis, CEO of SJ Edwards was selected as the Small Businessperson of the year representing the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce, Inc. (LIAACC) at this year’s Legislative Breakfast.

“Sharon Davis has continued to provide our chamber of commerce immense value through her leadership skills, dedication, and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that the chamber of commerce is functioning on the highest levels.”

About: Sharon Davis, CEO of SJ Edwards, Inc. has more than 30 years experience in Insurance, Employee Benefits and Financial Services. She is the Vice President of the Long Island African American Chamber of Commerce and an awardee of the LIBN 2013, “Top 50 Most Influential Business Women”. In 2013 she certified her business as a Minority and Women Business Enterprise. She is the epitome of perfection and this has attributed to her success in working closely with employers and community leaders in the design and implementation of Retirement and Benefit Plans. Sharon is committed to the success of businesses and the enhancement of employee relations and has spearheaded educational meetings; individual counseling, community and employee benefit fairs, including free Affordable Care Act seminars. She joined the Colonial Voluntary Benefits organization in 2010 to manage the Voluntary Benefits Program for the American Federation of Government Employees Union (AFGE), Northeast Territory. Here she parlayed her experience and enthusiasm across several states educating and helping union members provide financial protection for their families. Sharon is a strong contributor in making business and community work together.
