Alabama State University Celebrates Small Business Development Day/Hosts Free Workshop & More (2864 hits)


WHEN: Wednesday (March 22) 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: ASU's College of Business Administration, North University Drive.

Both general and individual small business workshops - and an open house reception - are part of America’s Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Day celebration (hosted by ASU's SBDC) and it all takes place on Wednesday (March 22) from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. in the ASU College of Business Administration's (COBA) Building.

The event, which is free and open to the public, will include an Open House reception.

SBDC Day is a national day of celebration of the success and impact that SBDC's have across the nation in the arena of economic development and in helping and training America's small business community workforce.

The workshop will include valuable information about SBA resources, loan products, and other business resources. All participants will be given the opportunity to network and connect with other business owners and leaders in the business community. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards or brochures about their business to share and network.

The agenda for SBDC Day:

11 a.m. – noon | Small Business Administration (federal) Resource Workshop | COBA Room 203. The presenter will be David Ramp, public information officer & lender relations specialist (SBA). Preregistration is required.

Noon | Open House Reception | COBA 2nd Floor Breezeway

1 p.m. - 3 p.m. | Free 30-minute business advisement sessions with a SBDC business advisor (first-come, first-served).


Free parking is available behind the COBA Building off Ross-Dunn Drive.
