Here is What Godís Plans Is For Black Fathers, Family and There Seed

Brothers and Sisters, Godís plans is for Fathers, Family and there Seed is found right here in The Book of Psalms And this time I will quote from the New International Version (NIV):

112 1 Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.

2 Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

3 Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.

4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous.

5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.

6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.

7 They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.

9 They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn[c] will be lifted high in honor.

10 The wicked will see and be vexed, they will gnash their teeth and waste away; the longings of the wicked will come to nothing.

These are what I call Faithful Black Fathers and Godly Man. In The Book of Proverbs 20:6 asks a very sobering question.

Many claims to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find? And so many Sisters are asking this very same question today. So many families are asking that very same question but a faithful man, who can find? If there was a time where we need faithful men, it is now, and today is that day.

The challenge I bring to you today is out of LOVE. It is not about the past, so donít let Satan discourage you in any way. Sisters, Ií am going to focus in on the Brothers, if that is alright? Ií am sure that you donít mind, if the word would make us better in our life?

It is not about the past but the future and present progress. Brothers we need to always improve are characters to be a better Fathers, better Husbands, better Sons, Brothers, cousins, and better men. We need to be always on the path of growing. We always need to be better Pastors, Alders, Community Leaders, we all need to grow. Our world needs us more now more than ever. The world need Godly Men. That is what our wives need the most, that is what our Children need the most, that is what our Church, Community, they need to see men behaving Godly.

I am convinced that for our families are going to survive, and thrive, we need men to take on our rightful place responsibilities, God given responsibilities as the leaders of their home. As men go, so goes the family. When men are fore filling their God given responsibilities, there God given rolls of spiritual leadership, the family rises, our communities rise, every aspect of life rises. But when we fail, the home suffers and all of society feels the repercussion. Now when we behave Godly, again everyone in that home prospers. When men behave like they should, properly in their homes, that male image spells over into homes, because you act Godly, where you stand strong, who God called you to be and now your radiance fills even to gaps where homes are without men in them because you become the image that young people see.

Psalms 112 was written by a man, for a man. David the author is a manly man. Remember, he was the one who killed lions and bears in defense of, as a young Shepard boy. Remember, he was the only one that had the courage to step to Goliath and cut off his head of that uncircumcised Philistine. It was David, he was the only warrior that was standing. David was a man of great responsibility, he was one of the most successful Kings in all of Israelís history. He was a great builder, he was a great administrator. David was a spiritual man, the word said that David was a man after Gods own heart. David was a leader in temple worship, he wrote incredible Psalms and hymns of worship and praise. He danced before the Lord Thy God but David was also a Family man, in fact, this is one area of his life where he produces his greatest failure. Like many men, David permitted other things to distract him, Other things to take priority of that which should always have priority and attention, which should have been to his family.

David could relate to every man in this room. See, he normally would have excelled at everything but there were areas where failures were their also. See, it is okay to make a mistake but it is not OK to stay there, it is not OK not to grow, it is not OK to become not better and that is what we all need to understand and become better Godly men and to be faithful Fathers.

William Raspberry, he is a Black American columnist for The Washington Post, he wrote this, he said: If I can offer a single prescription for the survival of America and particularly of Black America, it would be to restore the Family and if you ask me how to do it, my answer would be simply ďSAVE THE BOYíS.Ē

So, this morning our challenge is, that we are going to be faithful fathers and Godly men in a world that is so desperately needs us because we are the influencers that can change the very world around us.

The first thing that we can take from Psalms 112, just look what it says here: ď1. Praise the Lord. Blessed are those who fear the Lord, who find great delight in his commands.Ē

In this very first verse we find the root of the problem for most of our men. To many men donít have a healthy FEAR OF GOD. To many man donít have a great delight in his GODíS commands. When a man truly fears God and has great delight in his word, that man, is on his way of being Godly. His life is going to be productive and successful. That does not mean that he wonít have any hardships but ultimately his life is going to be productive and successful. Just look at the promises associated with this kind of man, that fears God and have great delight for his commands. Let us look at it, in verse 2 The promise concerning his children. 2. Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed. Look at his character in verse 3 and 4. 3 Wealth and riches are in their houses, and their righteousness endures forever.
4 Even in darkness light dawns for the upright, for those who are gracious and compassionate and righteous. That is character, if you read through Psalms 112, four time it states, in four difference verses it mentions the righteous of this Godly man.

Let us look at verse 5 theirs is a promise that is concerning his conduct. 5 Good will come to those who are generous and lend freely, who conduct their affairs with justice.

In verses 6, 7 and 8 the words talk about his confident, it gives a promise for his generosity:

6 Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.

7 They will have no fear of bad news; their hearts are steadfast, trusting in the Lord.

8 Their hearts are secure, they will have no fear; in the end they will look in triumph on their foes.

It gives a promise of his generosity in verse 9. They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor, their righteousness endures forever; their horn will be lifted high in honor.
It simple states in verse 6. Surely the righteous will never be shaken; they will be remembered forever.

Simple if I do two things, if I have a healthy fear of God and I delight in his commandment, that means Gods promises will flow into my life. Godís promises is irrevocable, Godís promises be taken by the world, we canít mess up, Godís promises. When God promises enter in to our lives by doing basic things, we canít mess up what has given.
