Imagine Jesus returning in his true physical form and explaining who he really was. We might not like the message that Jesus has for us. It might be pretty insulting, but at least it would be the truth.
Many Black people have woken up and understand that
religions are a psychological construct in our minds that control us. Black people's ancestors never chose religion. It was beaten into them. Black Americans had their own beliefs that they were force to shun because those who dominated them demanded their implicit loyalty and love, though they would be hung, burned, maimed, force to watch their children and loved ones suffer and so much more, all while
praying to a Jesus who was incapable of answering their prayers because he simply didn't exist.
For most of us, the concept of Jesus is comforting. It gives us
something to believe in and it gives us hope about when we die. Religion are the most clever fairy tales ever told because it teaches us that we are not alone and we have a magical deity looking after us.
This is true of religion, but that magical deity looking after us is ourselves. Not no man in the sky who sat back and watched for hundreds of years as we suffered and as our children suffered.
Once you think about the
reality of Jesus, if he did exist, he would be more of a foe than a friend. Therefore, he would be my enemy. So I put a middle finger up to all gods in all forms. Because as long as I know that people suffer and how unfair things are in this reality, then that Jesus serves me or my people no purpose whatsoever.
Jesus is an
enemy of Black people and has always been. In the bible it says that the devil would rule the planet and be in power until god returns. So if you go by the bible, then it makes no sense that the stories are not a reference to an enemy of the people and not a friend of the people. The bible claims that evil will prevail and that seems to be about right until our people can wake up and right their own wrongs which is not something I will hold my breath to see.
There is much work to be done.
Religion is a step backwards and not a step forwards. Jesus can go back on his cross and how dare anyone compare that ***es suffering with the suffering of my ancestors!
But
if that *** was able to talk to you, he'd probably say some real ****.
