Position Overview
The Senior Director of Development will lead alumni fundraising for The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine within the Wexner Medical Center. Serving a new, collaborative and visionary Dean with a hungry, hard-working team of five, this position will oversee fundraising and alumni affairs for the college and personally carry a well-qualified portfolio of major gift prospects. Major gifts at Ohio State are considered those of $100,000 and above but this leadership position will focus primarily on gifts of $250,000 and above. The College of Medicine advancement team is exceptionally collaborative and transparent. The Senior Director we are seeking will lead by example as a strong mentor, taking a solid team to the next level and will play an integral role in the planning of the next campaign.

Organizational Overview
This is an exciting time at Ohio State’s College of Medicine. We currently rank 11th among research medical schools at public universities. We also house the renowned School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences, with top-12 programs nationally and rising in physical therapy and occupational therapy.

The Ohio State University recently concluded its But for Ohio State Campaign which raised a record $3 billion to support five priorities: placing students first, elevating faculty and the academic enterprise, creating modern learning environments, emboldening the research agenda and driving high-impact innovation. Looking towards the future, the university’s 2020 Vision establishes three key pillars for the future: 1) access, affordability and excellence; 2) community engagement; and 3) diversity and inclusion.
