Job Description
Fiscal Analyst 2
This position performs financial services for Pierce College Foundation a 501 (c)(3) and Invista Performance Solutions (a non-profit joint venture). Responsibilities include maintaining both organizations' general ledgers, preparation of deposits, processing of accounts payable, interpreting of agency accounting and financial reports of the college.

Essential Functions:
Foundation Accounting:
•Maintain ledger accounts and analyze fiscal data; Develop or recommend working procedures to improve fiscal operations; Assist higher-level staff with financial summary information, analysis of financial reports and development of working fiscal procedures; May review trial balances and prepare adjusting entries; Review and process vendor payment claims; Assist the Fiscal Analyst 4 with fiscal year end closing; Assist auditors when necessary; Analyze, review and make recommendations for the accelerations of revenue transfers; Reconcile fixed assets; Prepare journal vouchers reflecting expenditures and transfers of funds.

Invista Accounting:

Other Duties:
•Assist Fiscal Analyst 4 with Fixed Asset Maintenance and Physical Inventory: This includes removal of items for surplus as well as working with Fiscal Services staff to perform a physical inventory in accordance with SAAM 30.45

•Participates with and serves as backup for other Fiscal Services Department activities. Complete special projects as assigned by the Director of Fiscal Services, Vice President of Administrative Services, Budget Analyst 4, and Fiscal Analyst 5. This includes preparing all Fiscal Services documents for archiving.

Terms of Employment:

This is a full-time (40 hours per week) classified overtime exempt position with Pierce College. The primary work location will be at Pierce College Fort Steilacoom but occasional travel to Pierce College sites will occur. Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with occasional evenings and weekend work, and occasional travel as required. All positions may be subject to reassignment between campuses or sites.


Physical Work Environment:

This position is required to work indoors in an office environment.

Benefits:
The starting salary range of this position is $3,062.00 - $3,541.00 per month with periodic increments up to $4,005 per month. However, your paycheck is just part of the total compensation package. There is an outstanding benefits package which is worth an additional value equivalent to about 30% of your salary. A comprehensive health care benefits package for you and your dependents includes medical, dental and vision insurance. Life and long-term disability insurance plans; vacation, sick and personal leave; reduced tuition; and retirement benefits are also provided.

Conditions of Employment:
•Agency Shop: As a condition of employment, all classified employees are required to become a member of the Washington Public Employees Association and pay membership dues, or as a non-member pay an agency shop, non-association or representation fee within thirty calendar days after the date of hire.
