The Admission Coordinator - Chicago Regional Recruitment will manage all aspects regarding the recruitment of prospective students (both freshmen and transfer) to SIUE from Chicago, the Chicago surrounding metropolitan area, and northern IL. This position will be based in the Chicago area. He or she will oversee all aspects of planned recruitment efforts maximizing matriculation of students from the Chicago and surrounding areas with direction from the Associate Director of Admissions and the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, based on the goals and vision of the institution.
Duties for the Chicago Regional Admissions Coordinator will include:
- Work to inform prospective students of the educational opportunities available to them at SIUE by advising and counseling them and their families by representing SIUE at various college day/night programs as well as area high school visits.
-Interact and build relationships with area high school and community college counselors and making presentations as requested.
-Manage all contacts (on a daily basis) with students and families, assist with daily calls to the Office of Admissions and communications with various units on the SIUE campus; and help with the review and processing of applications (at various times throughout the year) for all terms.
-Assist with new student programs and training for staff within the regional office.

Qualifications & Requirements
-2 years of experience in college or university setting (preferably Admissions)
-Valid driver's license
-Ability to communicate with individuals from diverse backgrounds
