Staff Nurse II (6272)|
The Staff Nurse II will administer patient care with a high degree of skill, as prescribed by a provider/physician. He or she will assist physicians/providers in the examination, procedures, and treatments of patients including documentation of presenting signs/symptoms of illness or injury, vital signs, current medications, and pertinent history.
The Staff Nurse II will administer immunizations and injections in accordance with the orders of provider/physician and guidelines of the Illinois Nurse Practice Act. Additionally, the Staff Nurse II will provide documentation of medical services accurately and completely in the student's electronic medical record updating visit notes, procedures/treatments performed, as well as telephone medical advice, and other non-visit interactions.
The Staff Nurse II may be assigned other related tasks in support of the departmentís mission and goals.

Qualifications & Requirements
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications:
1. Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in Illinois with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Professional Regulation.
2. One year of nursing experience comparable to that gained as a Staff Nurse I.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
One to three years of professional nursing experience in an acute care setting.
One to three years of professional nursing experience in an ambulatory setting.
Current Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)/Automatic Electronic Defibrillation certification.
Current Blood Borne Pathogen training.
