Information on the Department:
The Office of Institutional Advancement is dedicated to securing the resources necessary for the support and continuing growth of Lesley University. The Office is responsible for University-wide fundraising and alumni relations programming and for building and sustaining long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with Lesley's many constituencies, including alumni, donors, parents, and friends of the University.

Job Description:
The Senior Prospect Research Analyst is a member of the Office of Advancement and reports to the Director of Data Services and Prospect Research. Primary responsibilities include supporting major gift officers, leadership annual giving, and other stakeholders through the identification, research, and analysis of prospects. The Senior Prospect Research Analyst is responsible for tracking moves management and the strategic use of screening data and predictive models.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Identify major gift prospects by researching and analyzing alumni, parents, friends, corporations, and foundations (professional and family) for connections to Lesley and to other organizations, giving potential, and propensity to donate in order to establish priorities and strategies for the successful solicitation of donors.
•Devise strategies for obtaining new prospects in order to ensure the ongoing development, expansion, and renewal of the prospect base.
•Participate in and contribute to processes to support moves management in Raiser's Edge.
•Produce in-depth, well-written reports on prospects based on a combination of data from the donor database, available financial records, real estate ownership, and other markers of high quality donors.
•Monitor and update MGO, LAG, and other capacity ratings and moves management in conjunction with relevant offices.
•Implement new research techniques grounded in industry best practices.
•Leverage existing resources within Lesley University for researching prospects.
•Assist the Office of Advancement at special events, for which some evening and weekend attendance at University functions is required.

Requirements:
•Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
•Three years of experience in prospect research, including an understanding of major gifts and the development process and prospect management tools.
•Proficiency in use of most components of Microsoft Office-i.e., Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
•An understanding of wealth indicators and the ability to translate such information into prospect ratings, gift estimates, voluntary engagement.
•Experience using information resources and publications including fundraising databases.
•Deadline oriented, flexible in responding to changing priorities, sound judgment, and ability to work with confidential and sensitive information effectively.
•Demonstrated initiative and self-motivation, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
•Demonstrated excellent skills in critical thinking and analyzing information.
•Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
•Must be authorized to work in the United States; if you hold a visa, your visa status must allow you to work at Lesley University.

Preferred Skills
•Knowledge and skills using Raisers Edge/Raisers Edge NXT, and EverTrue.

Salary Grade 25
