Adult Protection Services (APS) Training and Event Coordinator |
The Adult Protection Services Training and Event Coordinator position exists within the state Adult Protection Unit to provide support and technical assistance to county and tribal agencies and lead investigative agencies responsible for protective services and investigation of reports of maltreatment of a vulnerable adult made to the Common Entry Point (CEP). They will support state policy for safe environments and services for vulnerable adults.
Job responsibilities include:
• Assist the department in tracking critical steps in Common Entry Point (CEP) reports and works to ensure reporting, investigation, protective services and remediation.
• Provide technical assistance in order to meet statutory compliance and attain quality and performance measures.
• Provide training resources for needs identified by the state Adult Protection Unit to lead investigative agencies, county and tribal agencies, mandated reporters, adult protection teams and Department of Human Services (DHS) stakeholders.
• Compliance and support of state statute and policy on reporting suspected maltreatment, the investigation of reports and protective services and remediation of vulnerable adults who are the subject of reports.
Qualifications & Requirements
2 years professional training and instructional design experience in social service programs, focusing on understanding of issues, services and interventions that impact the safety and quality of life of vulnerable adults.
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social work or related field may substitute for 1 year of experience.
