SALARY: $4,708+/month depending on experience

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The CRM/Association Management System Associate is responsible for the overall support of NCSL’s constituent database. The position requires knowledge of CRM/association management systems and how usage can be maximized at NCSL. NCSL’s association management system, Fonteva, runs on a Salesforce platform. The position is responsible for managing, editing and tailoring data in Fonteva. This person will work with management to maintain and strengthen the association management system to support conference activities. The associate will be the “go to” person for other users and an advocate for the system usage within the organization. This position will manage data quality and play a key role in the development of NCSL’s association management system.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
1. Serves as the primary point of contact for the NCSL’s customer relationship management (CRM) association management system operating on a Salesforce platform.
2. Maintains NCSL’s constituent database and ensures accuracy of the data through frequent modification, deletion and addition of customer records.
3. Works directly with internal groups and individuals on current and future usage and needs.
4. Trains staff members on how to use the system and data with emphasis on data integrity.
5. Establishes policies and procedures to ensure data integrity.
6. Works with legislators, legislator staff, and other constituencies to update records, answer questions, and serve as a point of contact for system questions.
7. Provides support for activities related to membership marketing and the promotion of NCSL services.
8. Makes recommendations on system changes to enhance contact with constituents.
9. Provides membership reports and other data analysis.
10. Initiates data analysis helpful to membership development and responds to requests for statistical membership reports.
11. Works closely with marketing, IT and policy staff to identify system upgrades and products that will enhance the constituent experience and the organization’s knowledge of constituent needs.
12. Coordinate the evaluation, scope and completion of new development requests.
13. May assist with projects in different departments that are related to use of the association management system.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, copy machines, scanners and smartphones.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is largely a sedentary position that requires the ability to speak, hear, see, lift small objects up to 50 lbs., open filing cabinets and bend, stoop, or stand on a stool as necessary. Requires the ability to travel locally, regionally and nationally, including overnight and weekends.

Qualifications & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience and Education
• A bachelor's degree
• At least three years’ work experience including a minimum of one year of Salesforce experience and one year of experience in support of technology development or in an end-user technical support role.
• Previous experience with a CRM or association management system necessary.
