Visiting Assistant Professor in Early Modern Peninsular Spanish Literature and Culture

The Department of Spanish and Portuguese at New York University invites applications for a visiting assistant professor position in early modern Peninsular Spanish literature and culture, beginning September 1, 2019 (pending administrative and budgetary approval). The position is for one year, with the possibility of reappointment for a maximum of two further years, subject to performance and departmental needs. Research that crosses disciplinary boundaries or considers issues of gender, sexuality, and/or race would be welcome. Applicants should have completed a PhD with a dissertation in a relevant research area by August 31st, 2019. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and supervising student research.
