Admission Manager & Campus Visit Coordinator.|
Interlochen Center for the Arts seeks to hire an energetic and welcoming Admission Manager & Campus Visit Coordinator. Responsible for the first impression of the institution, this position will oversee all aspects of a professional and engaging experience for prospective students and families including fielding initial phone and email inquiries, processing visit requests, and supporting on and off campus recruitment events. Reporting to the Associate Dean of Admission & Financial Aid, IAA, this position will manage the daily schedule of the office and support staff traveling. The Enrollment Office works with more than 3,000 qualified elementary through high school-age students from more than 50 countries each year across numerous artistic disciplines and study sessions.
Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as the initial point of contact and provide the highest quality first impression
Provide professional customer service in all interactions with students, families, staff and visitors
Answer admission main phone line, monitor general admission inbox and provide basic information about IAA and IAC programs, visiting, admission deadlines, policies and procedures; forward more complicated or sensitive inquiries to appropriate staff
Responsible for initial scheduling of campus visits and coordinating with appropriate admission staff for details
Prepare for occasional large groups of visitors
Manage the recruitment and travel schedule for the Office of Admission & Financial Aid in support of enrollment objectives
Provide occasional administrative support to the Executive Dean of Enrollment Management
Maintain reception area and monitor office supplies
Implement Counselor on Duty schedule
Support off campus travel supplies/shipping
Support on campus recruitment events and serve on strategic events committee
Supervises community service students, ambassadors, and volunteers.
Coordinate mailings for prospective students.
Willingness to work some evenings and weekends
Qualifications & Requirements
High School diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
1-2 years of experience working in an office setting
Experience with database software and computer competency
Some experience in event planning
Experience supervising students
Connection to the arts a plus
Additional Required Skills
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
Outstanding oral and written communication skills
Strong capability to work collaboratively and collegially with a wide variety of constituents
Aptitude for embracing diversity in individuals, perspectives, artistic styles, and more
Strong proactive approach to solving problems
InDesign skills preferred
