Job Description
Assistant/Associate Professor of Education
Utica College, a small comprehensive college in Upstate New York, is seeking a tenure-track professor at the assistant/associate professor level in the field of Special Education beginning August 1, 2019. Applicants will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Special Education and Childhood Education programs. Specifically, classes that include the teaching of New Generation Standards, elementary curriculum, and methods of instruction for students with and without disabilities including English language learners. Applicants will be an active member of the Utica College campus through service to the department, school, and college as well as the surrounding community. Provide advisement to students in educator preparation programs and show promise for scholarship in his/her field.

Qualifications & Requirements
PhD in Special Education, or a related field required, but ABD may be considered; Teacher certification in Special Education, or a related field is preferred; Experience in teaching students with and without disabilities in grades K-6 is preferred; Familiarity with education research methods; Experience supervising student teachers preferred, Experience with accreditation (e.g., AAQEP) preferred, Experience with education advisement preferred.
