COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM OPERATOR - PT

Operators all communications Center Systems including but not limited to fire, intrusion, and environmental alarm panels. Acts as telephone systems operator, (security and college) and as the information source for the college community. Acts as central dispatcher and receives all calls for service. Assigns officers, student patrols, and maintenance personnel to attend to calls for services.

Qualifications: Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid NYS drivers license, one (1) year experience in related work field, and current NYS Security Guard registration certification with 16 hr training course. AAS degree in related field of study may be substituted for work experience. Applicants need to be mature adults who can handle the challenges of dealing with College students and members of the local community. Must be safety conscious and able to work with a diverse group of individuals.
