Criminal Intelligence Analyst, Senior|
Provide real-time tactical intelligence and disseminate information to field personnel, detectives and outside agencies. This position will provide real-time research (data mining) of people, places and things to expedite preliminary and follow-up investigations. This position will also involve collecting, evaluating, analyzing and reporting intelligence information gathered from multiple resources to include historical data sources, police reports and video surveillance feeds.
This is a non-sworn position
$41,490.00 - $78,682.00 Annually
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Four (4) years of experience as a crime analyst or intelligence analyst working for a local, state or federal law enforcement agency.
An associate's degree (or higher) non-specified field plus two (2) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
Bachelor's degree in a criminal justice, forensic science, terrorism/counterterrorism, cyber security, information technology, geographic science, political science emergency management or related field plus one (1) year of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
A master's degree or higher in a specified field will meet the education and experience requirements.
LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S):
Valid driver's license with good driving record.
No felony or class A misdemeanor convictions.
No class B misdemeanor convictions in the last ten (10) years.
No family violence convictions.
Cannot currently be on deferred adjudication for any felony, class A or class B misdemeanor.
Availability for varying shifts, nights/weekends/holidays
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITY(IES):
Knowledge of principles and techniques of crime analysis and/or data analysis.
MS Office or similar software skills
Ability to conduct statistical analysis using computer and applicable software.
Ability to collect, analyze, interpret, and effectively report any intelligence obtained from the analysis.
Experience as a Fusion Center analyst
Experience as a Real Time Crime Center analyst
Previous experience as an analyst within a Law Enforcement Organization
Bachelor's Degree and/or higher education in related fields such as but not limited to criminal justice, forensic science, emergency management.
Prior analytical and/or training working knowledge with law enforcement computer systems/programs and/or databases
Currently working as a Law Enforcement Criminal Intelligence Analyst
Ability to have or obtain a secret level security clearance from the Department of Homeland Security is preferred.
