Retail District Manager

People Leadership: Drive growth through the human experience

•Staffing: Conduct on-going networking and recruiting efforts to create an external pipeline to hire quality employees in a timely manner when an opening arises.
•Performance Management: Provide on-ongoing, timely and relevant feedback as needed, and follow the PPD/PDG process. Create and deliver action plans to close performance gaps.
•Employee Development: Develop Store Managers and store teams to prepare them for growth and create succession plans.
•On-Boarding: Devise thorough new hire plans and training for new, promoted or transferred employees within retail.
•Training: Support, assign and follow up on trainings throughout the district to ensure impactfullness and ROI.
•Coaching: Provide on-going coaching and feedback to drive performance, service and sales.
•Engagement: Drive employee retention and performance through engagement activities to include engagement surveys, recognition, team meetings, regular visits, and early conflict resolution.
•Compliance: Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and laws in partnership with HR and WFP.

Operational Efficiencies: Increase operational efficiencies of stores through smart bottom line management

•Ensure retail operations procedures, and best practices are being adhered to in every location.
•Conduct frequent store visits on a planned schedule, providing constructive guidance and to review overall operational performance
•Act as key liaison between store and the corporate retail team. Assist with Store Communications.
•Ensure adherence to inventory management, cash management and loss prevention procedures to reduce shrink.
•Compliant with all Federal, State and City Laws.
•District Managers must spend a minimum of 3 days a week with in a Nespresso Boutique

Drive Sales & Profitability: Strategically plan district and store level initiatives to meet year end performance goals

•Evaluate store's performance weekly, monthly and YTD.
•Achieve weekly, monthly yearly targets and KPI's.
•Review store P&L with Store Manager to reduce; labor costs, supplies, and other controllable expenses
•Identify opportunities and communicate to Retail Director and Retail Operations Team
•Provide sales leadership to management teams to inspire and enable them to meet or exceed sales targets on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.

Brand Ambassador: Uphold a consistent and quality customer experience through culture and brand

•Act as an enthusiastic ambassador for Nespresso.
•Ensure Visual Merchandising programs are executed and all stores adhere to Nespresso standards for merchandising and product presentation.
•Contribute to the development of marketing programs that drive sales and traffic; lead the region's retail teams to effectively execute marketing programs to Nespresso standards.
•Ensure appropriate representation of the Nespresso brand in every element of retail.
•Ensure Nespresso service standards are being met
•Aware of Nestlé Nespresso Safety Standards and ensure that they are being met in the stores

Winning Skillset:

•Associates Degree, required, Bachelors Degree, preferred
•5 years of retail multi-unit experience required
•Specialty or premium store experience preferred
•Experience managing in-person and remotely
•Affinity for people and relationships; customer service orientated
•Excellent presentation, communication, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills
•Self-driven and entrepreneurial
•Knowledge of planning, organizing and controlling for retail operations
•Ability to train and develop staff
•Strong operational background
•Travel 60% of time
