Job Description
Senior Supply Chain Planner

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Execute Master Production Schedules relative to demand, shelf life, and inventory target requirements.

  • Develop Level Load balanced factory optimization schedules to ensure customer demands and factory utilization targets are achieved while improving operational flow of WIP and Raw Materials through the supply chain.
  • Provide analyses and recommendations with concise communication to highlight root cause, proposed countermeasures, and implementation timeline.
  • Is responsible for Master Schedules for production and New Product Introduction, ensuring comprehensive compliance with materials requirements for manufacturing. Identify gaps and reconcile planning parameters in SAP.
  • Resolves ERP driven material requirements and builds production execution schedules and maintains inventory at planned levels.
  • Build visual scorecards bowlers summarizing large sets of complex data into the critical few.
  • Works to resolve (in case of design changes) labor and material shortages, backlogs and other potential schedule interruptions.
  • Drives cost savings through Inventory & Lead Time reduction, Quality improvement, and Innovation projects.
  • Executes manufacturing Production Orders for critical product work centers.
  • Support finished goods inventory to meet agreed-upon customer service requirements.
  • Minimize and rationalize inventory write-offs of inventory, intermediates & raw materials.
  • Develop statistical models for predictive analytics contrasted against historical trending.
  • Engages with engineering plans and production constrains to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements.


  • Niche knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for improving the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all departments and levels of management
  • Result driven and detail oriented with strong analytical abilities
  • Active listener giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate
  • Sophisticated problem solver using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

  • Leads cross-functional teams, takes charge, and offers opinions and direction
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and influential skills
  • Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree with 8+ years of related work experience OR
  • Masters degree in field with 6 ys of related experience
  • Preferred Requirements:
  • Knowledge of lean concepts. Ability to identify and implement improvements.
  • Prefer major or coursework in Chemistry, Operations, Business Analytics or related field
  • Prefer experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Experience or knowledge of SOPs, BOMs, MES, and ERP is a strong benefit
  • Candidate should be strong in Microsoft Word and Excel. SQL and Visio experience valued.
  • APICS certification is a plus


  • Ability to work in an office environment.
  • Travel for work occasionally.
