Sr. Data Engineer, Remote Position Nationwide
As a core member of the Data Engineering team, we will rely on your experience and expertise to help us scale and grow rapidly. Your informed opinions on matters of best practices for data pipelines, knowledge about a variety of useful ELT tools, and mentorship of your peers will provide the foundation for our future growth as a company and as a team.
What you won’t be doing:
Streaming petabytes of data in real time
Hypertuning Deep ML algorithms
8 hours of meetings a day
Optimizing the sales of useless trinkets on the internet
What you will be doing:
Examining and retooling all parts of our data pipeline for monthly batch jobs
Integrating Machine Models into meaningful projects with immediate impact
Mentoring a team of internally motivated, exceptionally intelligent, and extremely kind engineers
Making healthcare more affordable and higher quality for patients across the US (and maybe globally at some point)
Qualifications & Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software or data engineering
Strong Python Experience
Strong SQL Experience
Comfort with Linux and Bash
Proven ability to communicate well with and develop trust-based relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
Preferred Expertise:
Transforming data processes for scalability
Leading/mentoring other engineers
Working with modern ELT and Orchestration tools
Implementing or migrating a data warehouse
Healthcare data, including Perioperative, Billing, and Claims
