Job Description
Business Development Coordinator
PRB is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support all aspects of PRB’s business development efforts, with a focus on knowledge management, prospect research, pricing, and administrative support.

Essential/Primary Responsibilities

Serves as proposal coordinator for smaller proposals and renewals, and supports the Business Development Manager for larger new business efforts. Responsibilities include logistical coordination of meetings; drafting of proposal calendars, compliance matrixes, and capabilities statements; ensuring adherence to deadlines; conducting targeted research; and supporting proposal components such as pricing, editing, and final packaging.
Develops proposal budgets and budget narratives that comply with donor requirements and respond to programmatic and organizational needs. Compiles required financial and institutional information. Serves as pricing analyst for smaller proposals and contributes to larger efforts.
Helps develop and organize business development resources – past proposals, capabilities statements, CVs, bios, etc.
Helps research and track new business opportunities across various donor and procurement websites and circulates to appropriate staff.
Provides research to support the analysis of donor trends, funding opportunities, and specific procurements.
Maintains and updates all files/Salesforce with the necessary info to support overall BD knowledge management efforts.
Drafts contracts and processes payments for consultants/editors.
Maintains database of costs for standard items such as graphic design, printing, venue rental, editing, and translation services, and updates annually.
Contributes to developing, testing, and implementing improvements to existing processes, practices, templates, tools, and other resources.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities:

Prepares proposal documents and submits under the direction of the Business Development Manager and appropriate senior staff.
Prepares proposal budgets and financial information under the oversight of the Business Development Manager.
Reports to the Business Development Manager.

Skills and Abilities:

Undergraduate degree in business administration, economics, social sciences, or a related field.
2+ years of experience with business development, pricing/budgeting, and/or project management/program work in a nonprofit setting.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent management, time-management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to take initiative and to manage multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Demonstrated understanding of the interaction between budgets and corresponding activities, and a strong interest in becoming proficient in pricing/budgeting in the context of meeting PRB’s budgeting needs across a wide variety of funders and projects.
Performing administrative work is a key component of the position.
Ability to interact with all levels of personnel including outside funders and donors.
Demonstrated success working with teams to complete tasks and manage projects.
Advanced Microsoft Office and Excel skills.
Experience using Salesforce (or a similar CRM program) strongly preferred.
Fluency in English required.
