Key Account Manager- Chicago, IL

Come join a fantastic team! The Key Account Manager position is responsible for account development for high profile medical accounts. This person is energized by establishing lasting relationships with executives, surgeons and staff; navigating across multiple teams to drive sales for our highest opportunity accounts.

You are excited by being part of a business that serves to improve patient outcomes utilizing capital equipment and have relevant experience with Surgical Microscopes, X-Ray, MR/CT, Anesthesia, Robotics, Surgical Navigation, etc. Come be a pioneer that builds relationships, creatively solves problems, owning the opportunity to be a lynchpin in driving sales for a growing business.


  • The Key Account Manager (KAM) Medical - is the primary relationship manager for assigned high profile accounts

  • The role establishes professional relationships including C-Suite, top tier key opinion leaders (KOLs) and key personnel

  • The KAM is responsible to meet sales and revenue growth targets

  • Conducts performance evaluations and directs regular business reviews with our customers

  • Maintains an up-to-date sales funnel and forecast

  • Identifies selling opportunities across all assigned product lines

  • Develops account strategy and leads the teams selling efforts

  • Effectively communicates and forecasts orders and risks to management

  • Serve as a liaison between customers, internal teams and the business unit (BU) enabling a direct flow of business and technical intelligence to the BU, and presentation of tailored solutions

  • Coordinate with local field marketing account-based marketing activities, trade shows, networking with local governments, associations, and academic institutions; recommend product, pricing, advertising and sales promotion strategies

  • Drive customer success and care to build customer champions for referrals


  • 5+ years of account management experience within the medical device industry.

  • BS/BA or MS degree in Life Sciences or related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Previous experience in the operating room (OR) and capital equipment highly desired.

  • Large Account Management Relationships combined with above

  • Entrepreneurial mindset and looking to grow a high growth market.
