Coordinator Operations Communications - EM Communications|
The Operations Communication Coordinator will develop and implement solutions for project and messaging needs and goals by organizing and proactively leading communication campaign development and management with Assistant Director and division leaders within the offices of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Center for Financial Wellness, Bursar, Registrar, and One Stop. They will assess current needs, create a plan based on those needs, and execute integrated strategies. The Operations Communication Coordinators will contribute with new ideas regarding messaging, channels, and how to positively impact students and other targeted groups.
Responsible for creation and building of day-to-day email, text and other communications through various systems
Create original content to share and promote the division and its departments across various communication mediums, including digital and print channels
Own the collaboration, creation, and execution of communication processes targeted at current students, authorized users, and university partners
Manage communications through CRM and systems such as Salesforce, Slate, and Banner
Develop and implement solutions to communication opportunities with various partners
Evaluate communication campaigns and processes and identify areas for improvement and increased efficiencies
Contribute in developing best practices and streamlining for role and within division
Support UTs strategic vision and division goals through purposeful planning, communication, and marketing
Provide constant feedback and insight on process improvements through consistent reporting on communication tactics and messaging
Manage multiple priorities, goals and campaigns with motivation and flexibility
Data management - best practices, compliance
Manage and enforce a rigorous approval process for quality control
Closely review, revise and update communications and materials prior to execution and publication
Accountability for project and process workflow
Provide professional creative writing, text editing, and proof-reading for all communications
Manage division operational website updates and messaging
Prioritize relationship-building and professional rapport with division staff, campus partners, students, parents, and faculty
Ensure compliance with university branding and marketing guidelines
Establish a positive relationship and work closely with the Office of Communications and Marketing to ensure consistency of university communications and branding
Qualifications & Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess strong self-discipline and motivation
Knowledge and understanding of MAC operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Creative Suite
Knowledge of html coding and editing
Ability to lead and manage projects
Must demonstrate problem-solving, strategic thinking, critical thinking, and time prioritization skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple work responsibilities in time-sensitive situations
Ability to exercise good judgment and handle diverse and difficult situations with confidence, motivation, and flexibility
Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at various levels and a variety of backgrounds
Possess and demonstrate a personal commitment to excellence and efficiency, and a passion to serve future and current Volunteers of all ages and backgrounds
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of Slate and other CRM systems
Asana project management or similar platform experience
Understanding of higher education priorities, processes, and workflow
Knowledge and experience with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, etc.
Required level/type of experience and/or years of experience:
Bachelors Degree- Communications, Marketing, or related
2 years of professional experience related to duties and responsibilities.
Background in communications or related creative experience.
Preferred level/type of experience and/or years of experience:
Experience working with multiple priorities, fast moving projects, and tight deadlines.
Basic understanding and ability to work with html coding and editing.
Experience with print and digital communication.
Experience with Slate or other CRM systems, Banner, Asana project management system.
Moderate to high skill in html coding and editing.
