Director, Clinical Knowledge
The Director, Clinical Knowledge will ensure that JED’s Chief Medical Officer and Knowledge & Advising team is operating with the latest information and understanding of scientific research on youth mental health and suicide prevention.
Candidate Profile: Mental health clinician-researcher with a background in clinical work with young people from diverse backgrounds as well as expertise in evaluating evidence and quality of research methods. Broad-ranging knowledge about the evidence basis for a wide array of interventions and practices in mental health and suicide prevention on a clinical as well as public health/population level.
Key Responsibilities
Using experience gained in doctoral-level statistics and research methods courses as well as participation in academic research relating to mental health and/or psychology, actively gather and vet the latest research related to youth mental health and suicide prevention and related fields, including education (secondary and higher ed) and public health prevention and intervention models.
Assist the Knowledge & Advising team in regularly reviewing, updating, and producing all internal and external documentation that includes research on mental health and suicide prevention to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and sound quality.
Educate staff about the latest research and evidence base in youth mental health and suicide prevention. Provide thorough professional development programs for staff in research to ensure high-quality competencies in these areas across the organization. Disseminate research findings internally to educate staff.
Qualifications & Requirements Ph.D. in Psychology or equivalent is required
