Human Resources Technologies Lead (New Consumer Health Company)

Johnson & Johnson is currently recruiting a Human Resources (HR) Technologies Lead (New Consumer Health Company). This position is located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Consumer Health business to create a new publicly traded company. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 24 months, and it will be subject to legal requirements including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as required, and other customary conditions and approvals.   

It is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, this position may be conveyed with New Consumer Health. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to the successful candidate by New Consumer Health at an appropriate time and would be subject to any necessary consultation processes. 


Role & Responsibilities:

As a trusted leader in the Technology & Data organization, this role will be uniquely positioned to work collaboratively with strategic external partners, global leaders, and executives across the business and technology to passionately understand our technology needs, define and shape our global HR digital roadmap, and power world-class digital technologies.  

As a strategic problem solver, technologist, and digital expert in HR Technology & Payroll, this role will empower our HR partners through the delivery of products and platforms that create exceptional people experiences for employees within the company and external talent. Additionally, this role will be accountable for partnering with and supporting the technical landscapes for Global Corporate Affairs (GCA), Engineering & Property Services (E&PS), Legal, and Security. In totality, this role will manage the continuity of Technology & Data services through the management of Technical Service Agreements (TSAs), and both build and execute TSA Exit plans while initiating strategic demand in partnership with the business to bring further efficiency to multiple ecosystems.  

This global role will work at the intersection of business vision and strategy, human-centered design, and technical execution to deploy, manage, and modernize a portfolio of products and platforms. These products and platforms will fuel the core of the business and the next frontier of employee experiences across areas including Payroll, Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, GCA, E&PS, Legal, and Security.    

This role will also be responsible for leading large-scale, high-visibility global technology transformation initiatives across North America, LATAM, ASPAC, and EMEA regions to drive outcomes that matter in our local markets.  

This leader will have the unique opportunity to grow and scale a diverse, credible, and agile team with the talent and technical expertise to identify, launch, and iterate the next generation of products in our portfolio. 


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Drive the digital innovation agenda in HR and the various corporate functions in scope by anticipating and responding to rapidly changing candidate and employee needs while translating external and internal insights into solutions that create value for the business 

  • Lead the execution of large-scale highly visible global transformation initiatives such as modernization efforts and deployment of digital HR & Payroll capabilities in areas such as Total Rewards, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning, Training & Development, and HR Operations 

  • Partner closely with business and technology leaders and teams globally and within the regions to solve complex technical challenges and ensure critical HR & Payroll systems are stable, available, modern, secure, resilient, and scalable 

  • Determine the global product and platform strategy, in collaboration with HR business partners, to streamline and automate end-to-end HR & Payroll processes  


Secondary Responsibilities:  

  • Create connected digital ecosystems by working with architects to shape current and future state architectures for systems within HR & Payroll including products and platforms supporting Total Rewards (compensation, benefits, health, and well-being), Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Learning, Training & Development, and HR Operations 

  • Maintain compliance on all HR & Payroll products, platforms, and related data assets while providing leadership and technical acumen about operating HR & Payroll technology solutions in a regulated environment 

  • Support Data Excellence teams and the business in curating HR and employee data to deliver analytics and insights 

  • Inspire creativity, innovative thinking, and new approaches to deploy HR & Payroll products and platforms that create unique highly engaging employee experiences 

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships and partnerships with strategic technology third parties and vendors 


Position Requirements:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience managing a diverse set of global HR systems such as Payroll, Benefits Administration, Learning & Development, and other related corporate functions 

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Workday and other related HR and Payroll Technologies  

  • Experience with capability delivery with strong end-to-end ownership in the Digital space 

  • Strong product technology background; including High Performing Teams and a strong understanding of platform thinking and global experience delivering global platforms while tailoring for regional and local markets 

  • Experience leading large-scale global transformation initiatives with enterprise-level impact, programs with extensive cross-functional technology, and business involvement 

  • Ability to interface with required business counterparts 

  • Has an innovative, agile, and high-performing teaming mindset 

  • Technology thought leadership in the latest advances in the market, trends, and modern technology frameworks (e.g., Agile and DevOps)
