Audio Visual Technician
Reporting to the AV Team Lead, the AV Engineer’s role is to operate, support and maintain in-house audio-visual equipment in auditoriums, conference rooms and offices. Provide technical support and guidance to AV tech and be the escalation point. Our team's goal is to help our colleagues maximize their ability to collaborate and communicate through the effective use of technology.
How You Will Make An Impact:
- Monitor the health status of all conference rooms globally
- Track global AV Assets and help establish refresh cycles
- Maintain Zoom admin for daily operations and deployments
- Participate in regular weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events and their requirements
- Communicate any foreseeable problems to Event Service Operations Program Manager at the earliest opportunity
- Support planning and execution of events from large events to small user groups
- Diagnose and troubleshoot audio and video equipment issues
- Intake customer service request and manage them to completion
- Consult with cross-functional teams and internal users regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events
- Support planning and execution of events of various sizes
Qualifications & Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant working experience in AV/VC engineering
- Strong understanding of Zoom and Zoom Room features and capabilities
- Proven experience with troubleshooting industry standard devices such as Crestron, Extron Biamp and Clearone, DTEN, and Neat
- Comfortable with basic Mac OSX and Windows configuration as it relates to conference platforms such as Zoom, MS Teams, Meet.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to provide advanced troubleshooting on any device
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated success in event coordination and project coordination
- Time management and ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency
- Passionate about the job and tasks at hand and be self-motivated and energetic
- Excellent understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations
