About the role Reporting to the Hach CFO, the Global Controller coordinates controllership and transaction activities with counterparts in the Americas, Asia and Europe for Hach, Sea-Bird Scientific and Aquatic Informatics. You will be the primary contact with the Danaher Technical Accounting team. We will rely on the Global Controller to provide technical guidance on accounting matters to the regional and country Finance teams. The Global Controller is responsible for implementing and maintaining a strong control environment, as well as developing and maintaining internal accounting policies and delegation of authority. You will provide direct oversight to the dedicated compliance resources in the regions. Operating in a matrix environment, the Global Controller has a dotted line relationship with the country Controllers and a solid reporting line with the compliance team and the Tax manager for the group. This position is part of the Finance function and will be located in Loveland, Colorado. The essential requirements of the job include: Month/Quarter end close Ensures accurate and timely month-end and quarter-end close and reporting from the regions / Operating Companies Coordinates quarter-end disclosure and related parties reporting Reviews and validates the production, accuracy and timeliness of monthly and quarterly stats and supplemental reporting Enforces compliance with Danaher and Operating Company policies Coordinates deployment of new accounting policies and ad-hoc Corporate and Platform accounting requirements Works closely with the FP&A function in support of business support and analysis, as required
Compliance Coordinates program activities for Internal Audits, Balance Sheet Reviews, Sarbanes Oxley, Anti-corruption program for the group Closely involved with the preparation for internal audits, reviews and approves management response, ensures timely and sustainability of remediation. Enforces the application of Danaher policies. Develops, deploys and enforces group policies and delegation of authority
Other / Talent Guides, motivates, and develops direct and indirect teams Provides direct oversight to the Compliance and Tax resources Provides input in the evaluations of country Controllers Establishes and coordinates standard onboarding and training program for country Controllers Provides technical accounting guidance to the Finance team within the group Provides guidance and approves exceptions to the implementation of Finance modules for ERP implementations Actively participates in M&A Finance due diligence and integration activities Challenges existing processes, systems, reports, data analysis and outputs and implements necessary changes to create a best-in-class control environment Partners with broader organization to drive standardizations and continuous improvements across the group
Are you qualified? Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting with a CPA required 5 to 10 years of increasing responsibility in various accounting and finance roles required with experience in a global, matrix organization preferred Demonstrated track record of effectively partnering and influencing senior level cross-functional teams Previous experience driving alignment and trade-off decisions across the organization through strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid understanding of managing expectations and dealing with conflict Strong experience working independently and solve complex problems Fluency in English language required with excellent oral and written communication skills

The salary range for this role is $200,000-220,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Colorado. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
