Provide prompt and accurate service to create an enjoyable drinking experience for guests in accordance with applicable federal, state and local laws. Essential Job Functions Take beverage orders from serving staff and guests seated at the barPrepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks that are consistent with the restaurant's standard ingredient recipes, and practice prudent portion controlStock, prepare, cure and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product qualityMonitor guests at the bar for proper identificationAdhere to all state, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages to minors and intoxicated guests; ensure all laws are being followedPerform tasks related to cash handling (e.g., making change, verifying validity of charges, recording charges, and ensuring vouchers are properly executed) in order to balance all moniesClean and sterilize glasses, utensils and bar equipmentMaintain cleanliness in all areas of the barArrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar areaAttend scheduled associate meetings and offer suggestions for improvementMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications 6 months bartending experience21 years of age or olderStrong knowledge of state and federal liquor lawsStrong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and work in a collaborative team environmentAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with team and guestsExcellent basic mathematical skillsAbility to frequently reach, bend, stoop and lift objects up to 25 poundsAbility to work in a standing and walking position for an entire shiftDesired Previous Experience/Education 1 year as a bartenderAlcohol Service permitEducation Level: None
