Position Summary
Partner with department leaders to assist in understanding the financial impact of complex decisions made on the business. Responsible for gathering, summarizing and analyzing the data necessary to perform these analyses. Effectively communicate results to the key decision makers. Essential Job Functions Lead the preparation of periodic financial statements and various analyses to properly record all financial activitiesPerform financial analyses on complex business initiativesAssist in the preparation of forecasts and business plansCollect and validate data from internal systems and outside sources as neededLead the effort to review system data to determine trends and insightsPerform major analysis work and develop insights that drive shareholder value, including financial analysis, market analysis and commodity pricing analysisDevelop training analysis for business managers to help with the understanding of financial impacts on decisions madeSupport financial alignment of Restock Kroger within business units and workstreamsAssist in the preparation of the weekly and period progress report processDemonstrate leadership within the team structure and activitiesAssist managers in identifying capabilities and processes that drive continuous improvementSupport the business as financial lead with enterprise teams: Supermarket Divisions, Accounting groups, Capital Management, Audit, specialty divisions and other Operational Finance teamsMust be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodationMinimum Position Qualifications Bachelor's Degree2+ years of finance, accounting, quantitative or similar relevant experienceAbility to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time resultsExcellent oral/written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Hyperion EssbaseAbility to perform the essential functions of the position with minimal supervisionStrong understanding of cash flow analysisDesired Previous Experience/Education Master's Degree in business administration or CPA license, or in the process of obtaining degree or certification3+ years of finance, accounting, quantitative or similar relevant analysis experienceAny retail or related industry experienceProficient in Kroger systems including Oracle ERP, KCMS, Essbase, Business Objects and QuicksalesEducation Level:Master's Desired
