Job Description
Member Operations Coordinator
Would you like to work at one of the nation’s most respected, mission-driven organizations? If so, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is seeking a Member Operations Coordinator to support the AAP section/council member entity and section/council affiliate application process. This person will assist with the coordination and maintenance of accurate AAP membership records, approval and welcoming new national members, and preparation of monthly membership reports. They will also assist with ongoing CRM activities including enhancements, testing, and data management support and provide administrative support to the Member Operations and Data Services team. They will ensure premier member service in all communications.

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch.

Qualifications needed:
• Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or related discipline required or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience.
• At least two years’ related general administrative experience required, including some work with membership/customer relations activities, and maintaining database information. Experience with member data and eligibility highly desirable. Experience with membership marketing, project management, process improvement, and working in a medical association preferred.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational, project coordination, customer service, and verbal/written communication required.
• Some overtime, evening/weekend work, and travel required.

Some tasks include:
• Produce and distribute section/council data and trend reports to help with strategic recruitment and retention decision making.
• Determine eligibility of section/council affiliate membership applicants as set forth in the pertinent AAP section/council bylaws. Correspond with applicants as necessary to obtain all documentation.
• Maintain complete and accurate records in the database for section/council members and affiliates.
• Work closely with section/council Membership Chairs to ensure timely and accurate approval of all section/council membership applications.
• Maintain a detailed report for tracking section/council memberships through the approval process.
