T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiovascular Sciences (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD)
The Cardiovascular Center at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee is accepting applications for its T32 Postdoctoral Fellowship in Cardiovascular Sciences.
Our T32 postdoctoral training fellowship is designed to launch and sustain successful careers in cardiovascular research.
The postdoctoral fellow will:
• Create and follow a personalized training plan (IDP)
• Be mentored by a team (choose from over 30 faculty mentors)
• Receive training in core competencies
• Receive NIH stipend
• Receive opportunity for one-time optional 1-2 week sabbatical to acquire new laboratory or professional skills (up to $2000)
• Receive $2600 travel allowance to attend scientific conferences.
• Receive a $2500 childcare allowance
The program provides up to 3 years of broad-based, personalized, supportive, and rigorous training in specific areas of scientific excellence in a highly-integrated research environment incorporating mentoring teams with access to an extensive research infrastructure at the Medical College of Wisconsin.

Atherosclerosis, Thrombosis, & Vascular Biology
Cardiac Biology & Heart Failure
Hypertension
Cardio-Oncology

Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants should be highly-motivated, ambitious, productive, and have (or anticipate having) a PhD, PharmD, MD, or DO in a relevant research area such as biology, molecular biology, genetics, immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, or physiology.
*Per NIH guidelines, the postdoctoral fellow must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident.

The Cardiovascular Center, founded in 1992 at the Medical College of Wisconsin, serves more than 170 members from 26 departments and institutes on the Milwaukee Regional Medical Campus and surrounding community as it fulfills its mission to improve cardiovascular health in southeast Wisconsin and beyond through cutting-edge research, cost-efficient and high-quality healthcare delivery, rigorous training of the next generation of diverse cardiovascular scientists, and engaging the community to eliminate disparities in health outcomes. Directed by Ivor Benjamin, MD, over 32,000 square feet of space is dedicated to the center’s laboratories, offices, conference rooms, equipment cores and staff who promote its mission by maintenance of core resources, acquisition and distribution of funds for meritorious cardiovascular research, education of its members, trainees and staff and interaction with the community to understand its needs and alleviate the burden of disease in the heart and blood vessels.
