The State of Connecticut, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has a unique and exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Motor Vehicle Agent, for the DMV's Inspection Lanes of the Commercial Vehicle Safety Division.

The current vacancy is in Wethersfield, but future vacancies are anticipated in a Hamden location.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS
Full time, 40 hours per week
First shift hours, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Monday through Friday schedule
Location: Wethersfield, CT
Office/On-Site

THE ROLE
The Motor Vehicle Agent position will be accountable for performing a wide range of vehicle inspections including commercial vehicles, school transportation vehicles, abandoned, composite, motorcycles, salvage, trailers, and performs other related duties.
Position Responsibilities include:
Perform a wide range of vehicle inspections, including commercial vehicles, school transportation vehicles, abandoned, composite, motorcycles, salvage, and trailers
Conduct inspections in accordance with established guidelines and procedures
Identify and document any safety issues or violations found during inspections
Complete accurate and detailed inspection reports
Provide outstanding customer service and address any inquiries or concerns regarding vehicle inspections
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective operations
Maintain a flawless inspection process and uphold the highest standards of quality and accuracy
Assist with other related duties as assigned
