The ideal candidate will have working experience in a manufacturing environment, strong CNC tool capability, and the ability to collaborate with a team to meet production goals.PositionCNC Manufacturing AssociateLocationUSA, New Haven, CTStamford (CoCreate) CT USHow You'll Create PossibilitiesEssential Duties & Responsibilities: - Sheet metal fabrication (Operating CNC Laser Cutter and CNC Press Brake - will receive all required training)
- Set up and operate laser cutting machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
- Assist team leader in implementing continuous improvement strategies.
- Operate forklift (will receive all required training)
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate and precise cutting.
- Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Conduct routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure proper functionality.
- Inspect finished products for quality, identifying and addressing any defects. Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and timelines.
- Prepare and palletize finished goods for shipping, ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Collaborate with team leader to manage and monitor part/material inventory
What You'll Bring to Our TeamMinimum Qualifications: - High School Diploma, GED or technical degree
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role
- 1-3 years of experience using CNC equipment (CNC Router / Lathe, CNC Laser, etc.)
- Fusion 360, Solidworks, Onshape or other CAD system proficiency
- Must have and maintain a valid state driver's license
- Willing to operate in a team environment
- General computer knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Self-starter/Self-directed
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail and proven creativity
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Comfortable participating in social media and video production activities
Preferred Qualifications: - Associate's Degree in a technical or related field of study
- CNC Laser
- ShopBot experience
- Industrial maintenance proficiency and/or background
- Sheet metal working and general fabrication skills
- Rapid prototyping knowledge, including use of water jet, laser cutter, CNC machining, press brake
- Industry Certification (Welding, Machinist, Carpentry, Electronics, Sheet Metal)
- Comfortable in a collaborative environment that is also open to the community
Working Conditions: - Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment.
- Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- 5% travel may be required for domestic and/or international travel to customer sites/ plants, etc.
