Web Producer
The Web Producer is a critical member of the Backroads marketing team, responsible for publishing and maintaining web content and site navigation while meeting high Quality Assurance (QA) standards. This role requires a mix of technical web site knowledge, digital content management skills and a demonstrated commitment to quality. You can turn projects around quickly and are willing to follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely completion. You enjoy working cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, IT and Trip Development teams to solve business problems on the web. This role is not just about technical skill but must also be able to work within a highly collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing:
• Supervise New Trip launches and the website Go Live process, managing the critical path to get trip information and photography published in accordance with established timelines.
• Develop and maintain a global Design System and Component Library within the CMS to ensure visual and functional consistency across thousands of trip pages and landing zones.
• Design and enforce automated content governance workflows—from intake and staging to UAT and publishing—to eliminate manual bottlenecks and increase speed-to-market.
• Lead sprint planning for web production and be a key participant in sprint planning for the web development roadmap. Manage team capacity and velocity to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.
• Create and publish new “storytelling” web pages in collaboration with marketing design and copy teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Maintain knowledge base (Confluence) documentation to support web content deliverables and timelines for publishing new trip pages and content.
• Establish clear permission levels and audit trails to maintain site integrity, while ensuring all digital content meets WCAG 2.1 accessibility standards and data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR/Cookie Bot).
• Oversee the synergy between the CMS and Digital Asset Management (DAM) platforms to ensure seamless, high-quality media delivery without manual overhead.
• Partner with IT to find efficiencies and improve tools related to site management.
• Support A/B and user testing, website optimization, and web content personalization efforts to drive higher levels of engagement and conversions.
• Proactively identify and resolve web usability and content issues.
• Ensure accuracy, superior user experience and quality for our digital experience.
Qualifications & Requirements
What you'll need to be successful:
• 3- 5 years of demonstrated hands-on web production experience on modern, enterprise CMS platforms (Drupal, Contentful, Shopify, Magento, etc.)
• Previous experience with content-rich, transactional web sites where rapid changes and accuracy are an expected course of business.
• Technical Fluency:
• Advanced understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript
• Expert-level mastery of a modern enterprise CMS platform (Contentful, Drupal, or Adobe Experience Manager) and best practices for establishing global and/or dynamic modules/content blocks, effective architecture and efficient processes.
• Understanding of core integrations such as Digital Asset Management, experimentation platforms (Optimizely, VWO), on-site search tools etc.
• Deep understanding of GA4, Google Tag Manager, Lookr and the website data layer.
• Strong knowledge of modern marketing standards, Core Web Vitals, WCAG 2.1 accessibility compliance, consent tools and the latest technical SEO/AEO/GEO frameworks.
• Agile Mastery: Proficient in Jira for managing complex, multi-team resource allocation and project tracking.
• Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator. Must enjoy working with others.
• Experience managing multiple projects at once, resolving competing priorities, working swiftly under pressure, and meeting project deadlines.
• Hard-wired for attention to detail, timely responses in a service-oriented environment with zero tolerance for sloppy mistakes.
