Senior Publicist
W. W. Norton & Company, Inc., seeks an exceptional candidate with four or more years of book publicity experience to spearhead campaigns for a range of adult trade titles. The ideal candidate will demonstrate superior written and verbal communication skills, a track record of impressive results, an aptitude for quick, thorough, and effective research, a demonstrated interest in subject areas noted above, and an ability to juggle projects simultaneously with an attention to detail.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Creating and executing strategic plans and pitches
Developing effective outreach and follow-up to print, online, broadcast, podcast, influencer, and other media
Arranging and promoting author events
Collaborating daily with publicity, marketing, editorial, and other colleagues
Placing op-eds, essays, and excepts
Other departmental responsibilities

Compensation and Benefits*
Currently available benefits include:
Annual compensation for this position is $70,000-$80,000. All salaries and salary ranges posted by Norton may vary depending on experience, skills, location, and like considerations.

Qualifications & Requirements Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
Employment eligibility to work with W.W. Norton & Company in the US
Availability to work full business hours.
Ability to work from Nortons New York City headquarters.
4-6 years of book publicity experience
