Job Description
The Assistant Director for Career Counseling and Education must have a demonstrated record of supporting individuals to achieve successful career outcomes and be able to provide career support to individuals, to small or large groups, in-person and electronically. The Assistant Director must recognize the importance of helping students engage early and often in career-related activities so they secure customized career advice and practical opportunities. The candidate should be comfortable working with all student populations including AHANA students, international students, and students with disabilities.
Qualifications & Requirements Requirements
* Bachelor's degree * Knowledge of career counseling issues and techniques * Experience in program and event planning * Demonstrated commitment to working with diverse populations * Strong skills in career counseling and knowledge of career psychology principles * Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational capabilities * Ability to work with students, faculty, staff, and administrators across the campus * Demonstrated comfort with technology and willingness to use technology to deliver career programming and conduct program assessment
Preferred: * Master's degree
