"Sidwell Friends School is a coeducational Quaker day school serving approximately 1,100 students in Pre-Kindergarten through Grade Twelve. I am glad he chose a school which will teach the fundamental values of Christianity. Being honest, hardworking, fair and ethical. Today's climate in Washingotn D.C. is not conducive to placing the daughters of a President in a public school. The security issue is just too dangerous. While many will complain, that he is an elitist, his daughters well-being comes first. When it comes to our children their safety and comfort is above all else. His daughters lives are not a trade off for votes in 2012.
One of his daughters expressed a career in drama and this would be a perfect fit. The curriculum is rich in media, and performing art as well as ethical applications for our environment.
"All students in the Middle School take classes in Choral and Instrumental Music, Studio Art and Drama during 5th, 6th, and 7th grade. Eighth graders begin to choose arts classes to specialize in and may take advanced arts options in several areas if their schedule permits. Fifth and sixth graders may audition for orchestra and handbell choir, and seventh and eighth graders may participate in orchestra, choral ensembles, a fall play and a spring musical."
Joe Biden's grand-daughters also attend which will help ease the transition. Making them feel less alone, as they leave all their friends in the Chicago school they attended.
