Today, it was reported that the monies supplied to AIG and company have been used to give bonuses to corporate heads, one getting 3 million dollars. It should also be noted that, to this point, there are NO efforts to require these individuals to return those bonuses. These are the types of things that should have been stipulated in the very beginning, especially after seeing the elaborate parties given and private jets used by these very same companies that were begging for help. Well, the help wasn't for the benefit of individuals in the companies to stuff their collective mattresses with the extra cash, which none of them deserve since it was through their greed and poor decisions that put everyone in jeopardy in the first place. They should not be rewarded for this debacle. NONE of the money should have been used to pay bonuses to ANY employee, period.
The auto industry will have these stipulations and the banks need to have theirs reworked with greater oversight in order to prevent individuals from receiving any bonuses until their debts are paid in full.
