The Balancing Act

The biggest mistake most people make in balancing their personal and professional life is not understanding what’s really important to them and not balancing their time to reflect that. They either become overloaded in their professional life and have no time for family and friends or become too caught up in relationships that distract them from their work or purpose in life.

Most of these mistakes come from not having your priorities in order. The best way to help balance both your personal and professional life is evaluating what you want in your life, where and whom your spending your time, what your values are, and what makes you happy. There’s a famous quote I love it says: “Learn how to be happy with what you have while you pursue all that you want.” -Jim Rohm

Sometime in life when things are not in balance it causes depression. The best when to begin embracing balance is accepting your loss. Let’s face it, pain is pain, it all hurts the same way. Whether you lose a loved one, relationship, job, business, desired dream or anything that you hold dear to your heart. Once you lose something, it feels bad, like something is being ripped out of your chest. We have all lost something in one stage in our life. There were things; I lost in my own life that I had to come to grips with that has molded me into the person I am today. The best way to get past this is to allow yourself to grieve, cry, scream, and write; whatever it takes to get it out of your system.
Tips to overcome personal loss:

•Surround yourself around positive people that helps to boost your spirits

•Read self-help books, DVD’s or listen to motivational CD’s, inspirational music

•Find a support group, speak to others that have gone through it and made it out

•Redirect negative self-talk and focus on the good things in your life

•Exercise to release any tension or stress to boost your energy

•Finds your spiritual center and peace place in an environment that can heal your mind

•Keep your mind active and find activities you enjoy

The key to balancing your personal and professional life is to be the very best you can be in every area of your life. When individuals can first focus work on building up themselves and their character and get rid of old mindsets, childhood experiences, opinions and previous influences they can now begin to know themselves in a more intimate way.

When you learn to be intimate with yourself and accept and love the person you have become all other things will be attracted to you. If you believe you are beautiful, successful, relationship ready and happy with what you have already accomplished in life. You can now move forward with those same feelings of joy, excitement, expectation, anticipation to achieve your next level of goals.
Tips to balancing your personal and professional

-Spend time on personal and professional development: Write down your goals: spiritually, physically, emotionally, financially

-Set Goals for Your Life - Where do you see yourself in (10) years (5) years (3) years, (2) years, (1) year, (6) months, (3) months from today. Where do you want to live? Visit? Vacation? What type of friends do you want to have? Set you Dream Scheme

-Time Management Reduce or eliminate things that are wasting your time, remove distractions and avoid constant interruptions, minimize over indulgence time wasters (Television, Radio, Phone Gossip)

-Meditate – Take a moment (2) x Daily in silence to reflect on your life with no noise and no distractions just total quietness for about 10-15 minutes. Visualize where you see yourself and experience the emotions of how you feel

-Exercise - Regular exercise will keep you energized and builds your self-esteem
