There are two ways to look at life-Either the glass is half empty or it's half full.
We have a great deal of power at our disposal to influence our energy and state , and therefore our life experiences, by being selective about what we put in our minds.
In the early 1970's when IBM first started allowing Women into their ranks, when the computer you are on now was not invented and when computers were called "Big Bertha's" the corporate training consisted of GIGO, (garbage in,garbage out) as a module of what you put into a computer. Well our brains,( minds) are the ultimate computer created by the Author and Finisher of our lives.
What no one has mentioned is being a "spacemaker," creating space to accommmodate new ways of thinking and a new ways of being. Understand the connections here; the brain's reticular activating system (RAS) is a storage system that contains frequently used memories, anything you focus your attention on whether it's negative or positive, and whether we are conscious of it or not. Here it pays to live in the moment and be aware of your thoughts.
These storage path ways run on electrical currents of our bodies, just like our real world computers, they contain old emotional traumas, that we have never fully processed, habitual thinking (like addictive behaviors), beliefs we form about the world WHETHER the information feeding those beliefs are accurate or not!
If we purge our files, and re-stock with with new ways of thinking, and new ways of being to create the person we want to be, then we move into an existence where we control our thoughts.
Our bodies, made up of cells also store memories. That's why you can literally make yourself sick with worry, anger, envy and so on, or heal your body with thoughts of strength, love ,serenity and so forth. These strategies are called "Spacemakers"
you can either shut down from overload or form new pathways via fresh creative input, (stepping out of a comfort zone), or a long held belief--it all begins with monitoring your emotional state--and re-arranging your thoughts as you arise--to reflect how you want to spend your day, i.e. balanced, making decisions, putting forth a cheerful attitude-Controlling your "mind state" is the key to preventing a struggle which is a mindset that is not in harmony, with your particular life.
I am at the genesis of this mind control--I find that it does bring a peaceful state--that circumstances that ordinarily would send me to ballistic skies, I have harnessed under my new perception which basically is --how do I want to deal with this unpleasant situation right this moment? what outcome do I want? focusing on an out come where I remain, cheerful and in control appears very satisfying.
After the incident is over I ask myself how do you feel? did you achieve your desired outcome? and even if I fall short--I recognize that it is an improvement over past outcomes. The most pleasant feeling is realizing just how miniscule any situation really is. That a struggle is unnecessary and counter-productive to a state of mind of serenity. The place where I want to find myself mentally as much as possible!
