Good eve, great blessings and an inspiring Black History Month to each of you.
The National Black TEEN Empowerment Expo local committee is seeking youth resources and caring community members to join us in planning for The Brooklyn (NYC) TEEN Hall Meeting in March. Based on feedback from those in attendance, last month’s Harlem TEEN Hall Meeting was considered quite powerful, and provided an effective forum for us to better hear and help our youth. We’ll be hosting TEEN Halls in other boroughs between now and June, as we continue to prepare for The 1st National Black TEEN Empowerment Expo (NBTEE) in New York City this August (see attached).
If you work with our youth in NYC, we’d like to feature you as a guest on our radio show, “Our Community, Our Children” that airs locally (NYC) and on
www.allblackradio.com. If you’re a youth resource outside of NYC, we’d like you to be a special guest on “Black TEEN Empowerment Radio” produced by
www.blacktalkradionetwork.com. For more information, contact us at info@nbtee.org.
The Better Detroit Youth Movement (501c3) is launching an exciting FAME: Fashion, Art, Music & Education program in a Detroit high school and we’re seeking individuals, groups and businesses who work in fashion, art or music to volunteer a few hours each week in the classrooms and with our students. To learn more about this opportunity, email us at info@betterdetroityouth.org.
We’re also starting up The Better Baltimore Youth Movement (501c3) and could use your help if you reside in “B’More” and want to be an important part in building brighter futures.
Finally, why should Black History be celebrated on the shortest month of the year? With its popular RBG tee-shirts called “UniTees” and powerful programs like “I Can Do Anything”, UniTee Design insists “Let’s Make Black History Every Day”! Check out
www.uniteedesign.com, and please support our products, programs and efforts to uplift our children and inspire all our souls to work together for brighter futures. UniTee Design is a proud sponsor and partner of The NBTEE so know when you sport a “UniTee”, you’re looking great and helping a great cause.
