The ocean breathes
from the open motion
creatures of the deep
plunging into nothing.
A world of darkness---cold---
old and timeless
reaches into the heavy
oceans where nature is
the only change agent.
Encompassing the far reaches
of the ocean's bottom
littered with creatures
never seen by human eyes.
Oceans swallow up the sun
and spit the day into being
over and over---to return
to the flowing of time.
