I had a discussion about the black stone on another website, and we discussed the story of Abraham and the idol gods. Someone asked the question "Why did Abraham break all of the idol gods in the temple except one?"
According to scripture, Abraham's father worshipped many idol gods, and Abraham questioned polytheism (spelling?) so he broke the idol gods in the temple. But the reason why he left one idol god untouched was because it was a black stone. And by black meaning "universal" Abraham wanted to prove that the black man was god.
