The word of the Lord came to me, saying, Son of man, speak to the children of your people, and say to them: When I bring the sword upon a land, and the people of the land take a man from their territory and make him their watchman, when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and WARNS the people, then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning, his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes WARNING will save his life. But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not WARNED, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.", thus says the Lord.
WARNING TO ALL SPIRITUAL LEADERS OF GOD'S PEOPLE...
As for you, son of man, the children of your people are talking about you beside the walls and in the doors of the houses, and they speak to one another, everyone saying to his brother, Please come and hear what the word is that comes from the Lord. So they come to you as people do, they sit before you as MY people, and they hear your words, but they do not do them, because with your mouth they show much love, but their hearts pursue their own gain. Indeed you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice and can play well on an instrument, for they hear your words, but they do not do them. And when this comes to pass... surely it will come then they will know that a prophet has been among them.
Thus says the Lord God to the shepherds: WOE to the shepherds of Israel (the church) who feed themselves! Should not the shepherds feed the flock? You eat the fat and clothe yourselves with the wool, you slaughter the fatlings, but you do not feed the flock. The weak you have not strengthened, nor have you healed those who were sick, nor bound up the broken, nor sought back what was driven away, nor sought what was lost, but with force and cruelty you have ruled them. So they were scattered because there was no shepherd, and they became food for all the beast (false teachers) of the field when they were scattered. My sheep wandered through all the mountains, (from church to church) and on every high hill (false doctrines). Yes, MY flock was scattered over the whole face of the earth, and no one was seeking or seaching for them.
Therefore, you shepherds, hear the word of the Lord: "As I live, says the Lord God, surely because MY flock became a prey, and MY flock became food for every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, nor did MY shepherds search for My flock, but the shepherds fed themselves and did not feed MY flock therefore, O shepherds, hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against the shepherds, and I will require MY flock at their hand. I will cause them to cease feeding the sheep, and the shepherds shall feed themselves no more, because I will deliver MY flock from their mouths, so that they may no longer be food for them.
Thus says the Lord God; WOE to the shepherds who destroy and scatter the sheep of MY pasture! says the Lord. Therefore thus says the Lord God of Israel against the shepherds who feed MY people: You have scattered MY flock, driven them away, and not attended to them. Behold I will attend to you for the evil of your doings, says the Lord. But I will gather the remnant of MY flock out of all countries where I have driven them, and bring them back to their fold, and they shall be fruitful and increase. I will set up shepherds over them who will feed them and they shall fear no more, nor be dismayed, nor shall they be lacking, says the Lord.
For both prophet and priest are profane. Yes, in MY house I have found their wickedness, says the Lord. Therefore their ways shall be to them like slippery ways, in darkness they shall be driven on and fall in them. For I will bring disaster on them. The year of their punishment, says the Lord. And I have seen folly in the prophets of the land. They prophesied by Baal and caused MY people Israel to err. Also I have seen a horrible thing in the prophets of Jerusalm, (church) They commit adultery and walk in lies. They also strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns back from his wickedness. All of them are like Sodom to ME, and her inhabitants like Gomorrah. Therefore thus says the Lord of host concerning the prophets: Behold, I will feed them wormwood and make them drink water of gall, because the prophets of Jerusalem proffaneness has gone out into all the land.
Thus says the Lord of hosts: DO NOT LISTEN TO THE WORDS OF THE PROPHETS WHO PROHESY TO YOU! They make you worthless! They speak a vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the Lord. They continually say to those who despise ME, The Lord has said, You shall have peace." And to everyone who walks according to the dictates of his own heart, they say: "NO evil shall come upon you." For who has stood in the counsel of the Lord, and has perceived and heard His word? Who has marked His word and heard it? Behold a whirlwind of the Lord has gone forth in fury. A violent whirlwind! It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The anger of the Lord will not turn back until He has executed and performed the thoughts of His heart. In the latter days you will understand it perfectly
