Minister Farrakhan shared his explanation of this subject in the speech "Who Are The Real Children of Isreal?" The answer can be found in the Bible in the story of Rebecca and Issac. Rebecca and Issac had two sons, Jacob and Esau (rivals from birth). Jacob represents Africa and Esau represents America. Jacob was born first God told Rebecca that the two brothers (who were constantly fighting in her womb) represent two nations (Africa and America), and the older should serve the younger. When that was shared, Rebecca thinks up a plan to steal the blessing originally meant for her son Jacob (black race) and give it to Esau (white race).

Anoher explanation of this can be found in the story of Abraham, when God told Abraham that his seed would be in a strange land and be afflicted by a stranger for a time (400+yrs). God said AFTER that time served He would bring us out with great substance and punish the ones (white race) that afflicted us. In short, reclaim what is rightfully ours.

One can see that this prophecy is coming true, just look at the current state of the economy and the way the government is relying on foreign countries to keep them alive...

Africa was a super power before the Hykos and after the defeat of them by Tuthmosis III. They remained in power until the invasion of the Romans and the defeat of Cleopatra. 20,000 BCE, scientific knowledge flourished below the Sahara. Once Africa was conquored by Rome, then it remained under Roman influence until the death of Christ and the fall of the Roman Empire. After that the other So called European countries swooped in and stole(occupied) Africa and claimed it until the 50's when they began claiming their own independence.

This is a thumbnail sketch of the power of Africa. There is more. During Bible time, there was no America.

Siebra and Jake, at least get the facts of the story straight, if not the interpretation. Esau came out first, then Jacob, holding onto Esau's heel. Esau had the birthright, and Jacob preyed on Esau's weakness and used deceit to get the birthright from him. Both of your interpretations are utter nonsense.

It was late last night and if was not really proper to leave leave my last comment unfinished. All ancient writings, including those considered holy scripture, when they touch on history, should be examined using the tools of historical analysis, archaeology, anthropology, etc. So I could give a historical analysis of the story of Jacob and Esau, but that is not the topic of David's blog. However, the answer to David's blog lies in the use of those same tools. Thomasena has given a clue as to how to find the answer.

Jake, what you need to do is do the interpretation for yourself. If you allow someone else to do it for you, you will usually be misled. I like both the KJV (1611 edition, same one as you showed in that picture, as well as modern KJV with modern spelling) and also the Oxford Annotated Bible (NRSV text, including Apocrypha, plus scholarly notes). When I want to understand the bible I use the modern version and notes based on historical analysis and modern research. When I want the literary poetical beauty, I read KJV. I have read the entirety, except apocrypha, twice, and am now in my third reading. I do the interpretation/meaning myself. I do not look to any preacher to break it down for me. You are young and I am too harsh with you at times. But it is universal, what we think in our youth changes when we get older. But when we are young, we never believe that.

Hello Jake,

Let me say this, it is difficult to discuss anything with Black Americans because they are irrational people. Acts of Black American’s irrationality and ignorance is when David and others deletes the things I say because they cannot prove that I am wrong.

You said this, “The Bible was written for Israelites only…”
Jake, since you say that the Bible was written for Israelites then who wrote the Bible for the Israelites?

What say you?

Hello Jake,

I asked you a specific question. Who wrote the Bible? Now, if you cannot answer the question that is okay with me. But, to say that I answered myself is absurd and stupid on your part.

I know damn well that the people today in the state of Israel are the descendents of the people that wrote their own Bible. In ancient times, they were known as the Israelites. Black Americans are not Israelites.

So, who wrote the Bible, Jake since you are attributes the Bible to Black Americans. That so-called scholar that tells you these things is a dummy.

Now, you said that the Bible was written for the Israelites only! Since you made the statement, I am asking you who wrote the Bible for the Israelites!

I am not interested in playing any monkey games with you ignorant ghettobilly Negroes, okay. I asked you a question and I am deserving of an answer as intelligent men. Had you asked me a question I would answer it and not duck it with fancy rhetoric.

Your actions are the dumb stuff of Black Americans has about themselves. We, as a Black Americans cannot become a sovereign people in advance in this world being stupid.

This is the stuff that frustrates me. If you believe that, I answered it myself, then quote from my answer how I answered the question for myself knucklehead

Now, again, please pass on my question if you could.

What say you?

There is nothing wrong with looking and Garvey"s plan and studying it. Leaving this country is not an option for me. The investment my ancestors made here is too strong and too deep. Some of my ancestors were here when the invaders arrived. According to some researchers, all of them may have been here first. Lets look into that too.

All great empires reached a peak and then declined. Africa was in decline when so called Europe thawed. The U S is in decline now. We have reached our peak. Those empires that fell did so from decay within.

Africa lost all that power when they got lazy when it comes to furthering the advance of research in math and science. They turned their interest into using their engineers and scientist and other skill craftsmen to constructing masks, statues and useless artifacts rather then using them for the advance of civilization. A bunch of egotistical black African rulers exploited their skilled resources. Guess what...if your engineers and scientist are busy making the king special statues, who is building defense systems, agricultural tools and fine tuning medical science....NO ONE. So population growth and unable to feed them set in. They switched from math and science to voodoo and witchcraft.....the result...is what you have today....a bunch of dumb azz Africans.

Jamal,

Africa went into decline because of wars and invasions. What do you really know about voodoo?
Have you ever talked to anybody who practiced It? I wouldn't call being robbed of your belongings as being lazy.

Jamal,
Frances Welsing's book, 'The Isis Papers', is a good book for you to read. One of the things tht Dr. Wesling says is "...If you don't understand white supremacy nothing else will make sense..."

Dr. Frances Cress Welsing
Q: Is there anything else you’d like to say to The Final Call audience?

A: I am suggesting that for the sake of Black mental health and for Black intelligence that all people of color must understand the dynamic of racism/White supremacy, what it is and how it works, so that they can have an appropriate, self-respecting response to racism. Television is indoctrinating Black people to think of themselves as buffoons and clowns and trashy people. By understanding racism you will understand that this is what the system of racism survives on. As long as we are disrespecting ourselves and acting in a stupid, demeaning manner, this furthers the dynamic of racism/White supremacy and we need to give a lot of thought to that and decide that we are not going to participate in it.

Racism is a behavioral system for survival'

Dr. Francis Cress Welsing’s pivotal 1991 book, "The Isis Papers: The Keys to the Colors," presented a bold psychoanalysis of the system of racism/White supremacy. Dr. Welsing postulated that White supremacy exists as a behavioral reaction to the genetic recessive state of the White race. Dr. Welsing continues to practice psychiatry in the Washington, D.C. area. She holds a lecture series on the second Thursday of every month that’s free to the public at the Cress-Welsing Institute of Psychiatry and Social Research. She states, "It’s a lecture series where I talk only about racism and aspects of racism." She is currently working on her second book, "The Isis Papers - Volume 2." Dr. Welsing was interviewed by Final Call contributor Barbara Beebe.

Thomasena,

First of all I have visited Africa and have conversed with many scientific scholars while there. Even visited the University of Al azar in Cairo, one of the oldest universities and spoke to professors. I DID NOT SPEAK TO ONE(1) PSYCHIATRIST. Dr. Francis Cress Welsing is a psychiatrist. As an applied scientist myself, we rely on natural laws and not man's guesses.

It was explained to me that much of the applied science of today was once derived from what is now Africa. For example, in Phoenicia...they were among the first shipbuilders. Now, extrapolate their science know-how to 2000 years later, you would think they would have submarines and control the Mediterranean Sea...NOT. Much of the knowledge of Africa was burnt up when they destroyed many of the libraries. Chemistry, for example, is not a stagnant science. Research must be continued or you become obsolete. What happened is that the Greeks, Romans then Europeans went into Africa, and learned as much as they could smelting, chemistry, mathematics and ran with it while they caught the African sleeping with rituals, ceremonies, useless carvings, useless statues, useless ornaments, etc.

A nations success is directly related to the utilization of their scientists and engineers. Show me a powerful country TODAY...and I will show you a nation that best utilize their scientists and engineers. There is NO sucessful nation of today that practice VOODOO. Show me a country that practices VOODOO and I will show you a backwards nation that can barely feed its people. Haiti comes to mind. Germany, Japan, France, America, Russia, China uses their engineers and scientist to construct, design, build, develop and manipulate nature to build a quality life for its citizenry.

I would recommend you to read my book called 21st Century Vision for Black America where I go into great detail on the historical collapse of African nations due to their deprioritizing math and science. And incorporating dance, arts, witchcraft, animalism, voodoo into their every day society. Imagine, in Nigeria wheat is grown. But, they are able to purchase wheat from America, pay for the import taxes for a cheaper price then they are able to grow it themselves. WHY...because the advances in agricultural process technology in America is about 100 years ahead of Nigeria.

Jamal,
I have been to Africa too and plan to go back. My comment about Dr Welsing was in reference to the racism issue mention in one of the comments. The portion of my blog dealing with African's greatness did not include the Africans who practiced Voodoo. In my small opinion, there are little cults in the U S. that border on the same kind of ideology and supernatural thought as voodoo did in those days. What's new?

What you have said greatly relates to the down fall of organized religions and demoninationalism. Jesus, Mohommad et al. did not talk about denominations. They talked about a relationship with a higher power. Both of those complicate the development of that relationship. Arguing whose book is for whom is a rediculous argument and muddys the water.

When the bottom line is money, a great deal of useful knowledge is shelved and get lose in time. Do you think that the think tanks do not know that?

I would love to read your book. How can I get it?
