MC Hammer's been name-dropped in plenty of songs over the years, but it's his latest mention that has the legendary rapper ticked off.
This past Friday, Kanye West leaked, "So Appalled" as part of his GOOD Fridays series. The song features Jay-Z, Pusha T, Swizz Beatz, RZA and new GOOD Music signee CyHi the Prince.
On the cut, Hov spits, "And Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused. I lost 30 mil so I spent another 30, 'cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me.”
Hammer apparently didn't appreciate the line and is now planning to release a diss record targeting Hov on Halloween. "The Answer to Jay comes on October 31 (Devil's Night)...I saw him coming," Hammer tweeted. "We'll see if this record and video 'hurt's him.' You wanted my attention (Jigga) you got it."
SEE THE TWEETS
The one-time crown wearer, Hammer, responded via Twitter about the remarks poking fun at his bankruptcy and his loss of $30 million:
"@kanyewest jay-hoe aka #HellBoy Tell Jay Oct 31 (Devils Nite) We'll see if this record and video"Hurt's Him" .. #IamHammer," Hammer tweeted on Saturday (September 25).
"KING HAMMER:You wanted my attention #HellBoy (Jigga) ..you got it ..
http://bit.ly/9BIhWj #IamHammer."
"These lil demons and Imps stopping by timeline today.. Yes,I dissesd yo #Daddy .. The dude who made the #Lucifersong....smh"
"Stop talking about money when you know you can't put 50 thousand dollars together at a Family Reunion.. #Demons"
"Laughing at these grown men coming on my timeline with they #pompoms waving for #HellBoy (Jigga) .."
"Let me mess you #HellBoy (Jigga) Stans high up... What verse you gone put in front of me ? #Demons"
Now in no way do I think Hammer can touch Jigga when it comes to being the king of tongue rasslin but I'll bet everything that the 40-year-old Jay-Z is worth that the 48-year-old MC Hammer would kick Jay's a** all around his beloved Madison Square Garden and all around Brooklyn and Marcy Projects if it came to a battle of fists.
Hip-Hop would be yelling "Please Hammer Don't Hurt 'Em" all over again. Too bad Hip-Hop ain't reality... I'm so appalled.
