I DONT HAVE NOTHING AGAINST WHITE PEOPLE BUT ,,,I WANT TO WRITE MY OWN HISTORY ! (188 hits)

WHEN i look back on the history of my people,i see a lot of white writers telling the secerts of the black fanily and the hidden things that black history is made of,
now i can see if this was a inturptation but they remind me of the same people that tryed to rob our history and change the fact thet life started in africa .

when it comes to being black in america ....let me speak for myself .dont try i twist my words into something that is not true ! let me write my own history and you write yours !

if i say there is chezze on the moon bring some crackers !

David, most educated people accept the scientific evidence that human evolution started in Africa. The story of Adam and Eve came from a recognition that we all have a common ancestor, even though the origin of that story lies far in the past, with people who did not have the knowledge or evidence that we have today.

My point is, whether one believes in Adam and Eve, evolution, or both (as I do), this is what makes us all brothers and sisters. The divisions came later. So what I want is to go back in time to when we were all one. Or is it forward?

David, we should always seek the truth, and history is no exception. But let me ask you this. On a personal level, are we always the best experts on ourselves? I say sometimes yes and sometimes no. I had a long phone conversation with Harry the other day. You may have seen the comment he made about it the next day. Well my point is this. I listened to Harry about what he had to say about me. It made me stop and think, because we think we know ourselves, but we know that others see thing in us sometimes that we don't see or want to acknowledge in ourselves. I didn't suffer any harm from listening to what he had to say about me. I am still considering it. That is not to say I need to either agree or disagree. Often the truth is somewhere in the middle.

when i see the books of black history open i see how twisted the truth really is
like night and day ,,,,,,then i look at the writers and see why ,,,

what about the slave trade for example where did the slaves come from and who was it that the slave traders brought the slaves from, example, did the slaves come ready for shipments on theshores or did athy have to go round them up themselves, the salve traders. ?!? (smile)

@david, you like poerty , have you read any poems written by chatte slaves...now I am sure you can not call them White people..I have talked whit history makers and even recieved instructions in one of my classes from Alex Haley on how to write one own history. Me, I am only interested in writing cook books. and, for where I stand on every one is responisable for their own actions...some one has to write books are you one of them?(smile)

david, please what White person or Black person for that matter is stopping you from saying something like, "I" wrote my own history"?(smile)...every day I see Black history,and if you drive a car each time you see a stop light you ae seeing written Black history.some of the meals your eat, if you wear cotten cloth(and not I don't mean picking cotton either, I mean the process tha tmade the cotton into clothes) use an electric bulb, ect. it is not in the writing nor the learning from the writings, it is the wisdom and the truth and the fact of why I am at peace with all skin colors because my skin color can stand up and be counted with the best of the rest.(smile)

I have read in my African and African-American books written by chattel slaves . (smile)
