When did changing the toilet paper (tp) roll become my job? This morning was the last straw for me. I went into the bathroom this morning and saw a roll of toilet paper on top of the tank. One of my girls put it there. I'm pretty sure which one did it because she has left for school and her sleeping sister hasn't awaken yet. An empty cardboard container sat on the roll. Enough all ready.
In the past, my teen had the nerve to tell me that changing the toilet paper is part of a "mommy's job description". (You know I wanted to backhand her, but showed restraint.) "I don't think so" was my reply back to her. Tonight, I have decided to give lessons. They obviously know where the toilet paper is located. She/They took it out of the cupboard, took it out of its paper wrapper, but its placement was off by a few feet.
I have reminded my crew that I have good functioning hand and if anyone shouldn't be changing the "tp" it would be me. However, I still manage to do it. The first lesson begins tonight. As I have warned my children, there are some things they need to learn how to do for themselves. I will not be attending college with them or be their roommate in the dorm. My plans don't include cooking or cleaning for them when they are in their 20s. As young women, they need to clean and know better. That's just the way it is.
Granted, I buy the "tp". I'm not the only one in this house using it, so I shouldn't be the only one changing it.
