Recently there has been a nationwide crackdown on the s*xual exploitation of children with authorities locating over 60 child prostitutes. When did pimps and prostitutes become so prevalent? Do you think there is a strong representation of pimps and prostitutes in black culture?
Jay-Z is one artist that portrayed pimping in a positive way and recently stated that he regrets creating "Big Pimpin" which is the anthem to the glorified pimp lifestyle -- Why the regrets now?
Does hip-hop culture influence how some blacks live their lives?
Some people feel shameful for liking artists like Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Snoop Dogg, who have contributed their fair share of misogynistic lyrics over the years.
Have these artists given people a false sense of what black culture is really like?
