The Queen's Chair: Palin Stays and Brandy Departs Dancing With The Stars (DWTS) (383 hits)

I'm still in shock. Singer Brandy got voted off DWTS and I picked her and Jennifer Grey to go to the finals. She and Grey are the two best dancers on the show. At least there is one other black person in the final Disney's Kyle Massey of Corey In The House and That's So Raven fame.

While I'm not happy because if Bristol Palin wins, I'm done with the show. The problem with shows like this is two-fold. One is the show is a popularity contest because if it were based on talent Palin would have been long gone. Two, black folks don't really watch the show and if they do watch, they don't vote. DWTS has yet to have a black woman win. Mel B loss. Macy Gray just couldn't dance.

With Brandy eliminated and she got 29 out of 30, the show's credibility is definitely in question. I'm checking out the finals to make sure Palin doesn't win.

Who you telling? It has been painful for me watching Palin dance. The girl doesn't move. She's stiffer than stiffer and I wish they would vote her off already.

Sister Marsha, those reality TV shows are culturally biased to begin with. I voted for Toni Braxton and Laila Ali when they were on the show but when they left I was not fooled. Because the people behind these scenes know that they will only choose a certain race of people (most likely white) to become the winners of these shows despite who we vote for as the winner.

A lot today goes on behind these reality shows that the public does not know about... I will say this much, if and when you see one of our brothers or sisters win the DWTS show, know that these stars did not get there on their own, know that the people behind the scenes gave them an offer they couldn't refuse...that's how the wicked operates!!!

Marsha, I use to watch the program faithfully and would vote until last year when I lost all faith and trust taht this probram was about the vierers and not the ratings...

now this problem will be in teh news as long as the teaparty exist and tv programs needs press coverage...

So correct Siebra...because the friend taht got me interested in this show in the first place told me in advance the any Olimpic medlal winners would always be the winner...and, she was so correct on this one. (smile)

Just think how bristol would boost theri sagging dancing with the stas off season tours. lol but on this matter, I do believe it is going to back fire!!! Bristo has has a taste of being in teh public and I do expect it will end up pushing Palin aside and Palin Jr. may be up for running for president in hher mother's place...

...oops, this is the same Bristol that has Karl Rove and one of Cheney's daughters all over the media cmaplaing about being called over weight while Palin's daughter's voerweight is a plus for her...ONLY IN AMERICA...(smile)

as for me, it is all good in the long run, because Sarah Palin will be running for president...anyone heard about what Bristol put on her face book page about one of her class mates and is not apologizing over...GAYS ARE A POWERFUL POLITICAL BLOc. (smile)
